Featured Interview: Confronting the Line

June 2026

I recently had the privilege of joining Anne on the Confronting the Line podcast to discuss Velcro Kisses: Prophecy, Trauma Bonds, and Reclaiming the Narrative and the deeply personal journey behind the book.

Together, we explored what it means to leave a high-control religious environment, why healing often begins long after we've physically walked away, and how creating a coherent narrative can help us process trauma and reclaim our sense of self.

If you've ever questioned why the past still affects you, struggled to untangle fear-based beliefs, or wondered what deconstruction truly looks like, I hope this conversation offers understanding, validation, and hope.

I am incredibly grateful to Anne and the Confronting the Line community for creating space for honest conversations about religious trauma, recovery, and healing. My hope is that this interview offers encouragement to anyone who is beginning—or continuing—their own journey toward reclaiming their narrative.

Following its release in March 2026, Velcro Kisses: Prophecy, Trauma Bonds, and Reclaiming the Narrative reached #2 in Amazon's Self-Help category, connecting with readers seeking honest conversations about religious trauma, deconstruction, and healing. The book's success reflects the growing need for stories that offer validation, hope, and the reminder that healing is possible.
